Sometimes I just want some homemade Chinese food that is not oily, fulfilling and of course cheap. The reason for my review is to highlight their specials. Since I have 2 kids its really hard for me to go to a restaurant and find the perfect meal. My kids are hard to please and always change their minds between rice and noodles.
Luckily, Macky's have a special that cost only $11.50 which includes a Noodle soup where you can hand select the type of noodles from Egg noodle, wheat noodle, thick, thin, you name it. Additionally, you can add 2 topping for free such as chicken, beef, tripe etc.. Not only that you can choose a rice dish of our choice! You can choose between BBQ pork rice, Minced pork rice or why not try the popcorn chicken lol...Lastly, a meal is not complete with a honey green tea!
What I do is order 2 specials which is more than enough to feed a family of 4. They also have specials of the day for $8.99 such as Beef with broccoli and soup on Monday (with drink). If you spend $25, $30 or $35 there are additional special dishes you can buy for just $2.
Lastly, I want to highly the convenience of having chopsticks and napkins inside the drawers of the table. I really hate it when restaurants are super stingy with their napkins. -

I have not been to this noodle place for the past year. And it seems like a lot of the thing has changed.
The seating has changed. I found the old one more comfortable. The menu has changed a lot. And even their entrance has changed!!
Tastewise, it tastes similar to what I had before. I give it only three stars because of other reasons.
Look like their management has changed. And this management is a lot more sloppy than the old one. They dump the ice water to you. The sauce table is not cover. And the sauce looks "old" and "messy" and no one care. When we first got in, tons of dirty tables without ppl cleaning it. Overall, the service looks sloppy.
And it seems like there is significantly less people coming too. It used to be a wait during weekend. It's no longer the case.
The menu did change a lot and added some non noodle dish in. -

The noodle soups were pretty good the first few times we came but recently things seem to be going down hill...the soup in the chicken noodle had no flavor and the satay noodle was tasteless also. Very disappointing. The only thing I enjoyed at my last visit was the Chinese donut...it's usually good dipped into soup but not when the soup is that bland. Better eaten by itself.
It does always seems to smell like floor cleaner or some type of cleaner when we come here; I thought a few times was because maybe it was close to closing time but I went earlier last time and still smelled it when I walked in. Maybe I have a sensitive sense of smell but it's kind of a turn off for my taste buds.
Shrimp chip (side order) was stale/not fresh
Chicken noodle soup was too bland
Hainam chicken was too dry - was not good
Filet mignon beef with rice - beef was chewy
Tried a few other items but nothing I was impressed with either. The only things I would probably eat from here if I go back now might only be the beef stew noodle and Chinese donut. -

One of my favorite noodle places in the area. They have so many different kinds of noodle and unique styles I've only found here.

I love the noodles there. The best Chew Chow noodles so far in the area. They have the noodles on a big dish which made it easy to eat.
